I have now visited both sites. Neither of you can claim you know the true statistics. So lets leave that one for the time being. You accuse Mr Watson of telling lies. So far most  of the stories appearing on his site can be verified. They still make headlines in some newspapers and radio stations.

While I appreciate the fact that you are trying to put a positive "spin" on the country -dont try and take away our daily REALITY. We need action now. Government MUST be MADE to take action now. His site looks like the one most likely to succeed.

Maybe you haven't been subjected to VIOLENT crime?

All good and well staying positive. Those of you who haven't had a gun to your head will change your point of view very quickly once it's affected you personally. EVERYDAY you can read at least 3 stories of people been shot , hi jacked ect ect for a little cell or worse they leave with nothing...I tried staying positive about SA after I was Hi-jacked but what happens next....smash and grab. I sleep 3 hours a night staying alert to Protect my little girl of 2 and my wife if i need to..Trust me that type of Paranoia sucks, but lets be positive

As I am a student, I don't have much time, apart from my holidays, to do research and write articles. I would appreciate if volunteers e.g. blog owners, freelance journalists or criminologists would allow me to place their articles (credit will be given to the author). Articles just need to be in line with the mission of the website (see About). Contact me

A country at war with itself: Antony Altbeker

Getting behind the statistics to offer a sober and sobering account of the scale of the crime problem and its evolution, the book describes how government has sometimes sought to deal with the crisis and sometimes sought to deny its existence. The book ends with some suggestions of what needs to be done to deal with this scourge. Buy
