As a 17 year old where do you feel it is your right to judge another person and their beliefs? This Mr Watson character may be on the slippery slope to cuckoo land but that is his prerogative and he has full right to express his freedom of speech. I too love South Africa and I see many positives apart from the ever present crime epidemic holding our country to ransom. To smooth over the issue and try to look for the silver lining on the red blood spattered cloud is foolish and naive young man and you are playing a game so often used by the present government...

...acceptance and an overwhelming desire to roll over and be impassive. Well I was not brought up that way and I salute people who still want the world to know the truth about what is going on in South Africa. Unwitting foreign tourists walk our streets in awe of the beauty of our country while cash in transit murdering scum kill at will perhaps just meters away.

I would be a great deal more inclined to listen to your soapbox ramblings son if I actually believed you were speaking from experience, but alas I now know you are merely a happy moron and nothing more.

Let me know when you're a lot older... and wiser and have some real life experiences to share with us and I might take you seriously.

Hi, I'm an ex-Johannesburger, living in the UK, and I'm struggling to find info on the web that will give me a true refelction of the current situation in SA. I'd like to return, but with the anti-SA propaganda out there (CESA) got me thinking, will my kids be safe?

As I am a student, I don't have much time, apart from my holidays, to do research and write articles. I would appreciate if volunteers e.g. blog owners, freelance journalists or criminologists would allow me to place their articles (credit will be given to the author). Articles just need to be in line with the mission of the website (see About). Contact me

A country at war with itself: Antony Altbeker

Getting behind the statistics to offer a sober and sobering account of the scale of the crime problem and its evolution, the book describes how government has sometimes sought to deal with the crisis and sometimes sought to deny its existence. The book ends with some suggestions of what needs to be done to deal with this scourge. Buy
