I am a South African studying molecular breeding in Europe. Have u ever find your career useless? That is how I feel now because at the moment my country needs crime-fighters. But the problem I have is, South Africans are pointing the government, apartheid, and any other means that makes us look innocent. But are we South African citizen doing enough, are we active, proudly South African, if you see someone been hijacked do u take some info, stop and help, I know it is risky but at least u can call the 'useless' police after you have pass the incident. South Africans we do not love each other. We have the best in the world but we entertain stupid things like racism.

For me there is no excuse for crime,it does not matter whether you are coming from a poor backgroung or not. people find comfort in crime just because they are lazy, there are opportunities bt they want the easy way out.even the police are commiting crime what is their excuses coz they are working.

What I can remind you fellow is that we have equal rights and opportunities, also do not entertain those who's thinking level are far below yours unless you are ready to entertain that. Be aware they can be everywhre should it be work place or in the mall or traffic it can be any where you must always watch your shoulders of which is not good thing but that can help calm down your worries about this issues.

I am a young black who's social background has always been affected by the apartheid regime(reply pls if u really interested how?). I am not personally obsessed and stressing about apartheid & I am not always trying to look for racism but what I can share with you is that fellow young "blacks" out there still cannot enjoy being citizens of the country, the government is facing challenges in dealing with their daily needs. in this regard these young people they know for the fact that there might be some help out there to help them realise their dreams. So what happens is when they get an opportunity to stay in the cities they tend to resort to crime and subject to crime organisations where by some are from abroad. The reason why they commit this is bcoz they are in need of getting settled in the cities and simply get hooked to this kind of actions. My point here is that there are South Africans who engage them selves in this criminal activities and alwalys blame the apartheid government not because they are not willing to change their actions but need a solution to their problems. What I'll recomend is for all fellow South Africans to get inlvolved in fighting against crime and stop complaining becoz we do want to be comparing the pain felt by our parents and derive them from those decades to present, lets all strive to get solutions to our politics that have direct ifluence on the running of the economy, as young people lets pave our way to the top decision makers and change the perception and first lets face the reallity of being South African. The truth about being South African crime and racial descrimination is based on the political history of the country which is different from the rest of the world, lets not blame one another but lets all fight and trim our society. Yes indeed its was not always going be easy as it may look.

Personally i feel that the most anticipated soccer world cup in 2010 (south africa) will fall somewhat short of a disaster. My reasons are simple , the people of south africa are always displeased with the way things are being run. I am tired of black people blaming apartheid ,come on its been 14 years since the end of that. You constantly complaining that enough is not enough . Get over your selves. If you want the country to be recognised for the crime then you only diging your own hole .....Unfortunate the majority of people living in rural areas are uneducated and therefore become sheep that go where the shepherd tells them to .Think for yourselves it is not that hard to do ,After all you have nothing to lose right. The people of south africa are so blinded by there own pride that they don't see the opportunity that lies in front of them. MOVE on already . ITS time for a new government ...

A country at war with itself: Antony Altbeker

Getting behind the statistics to offer a sober and sobering account of the scale of the crime problem and its evolution, the book describes how government has sometimes sought to deal with the crisis and sometimes sought to deny its existence. The book ends with some suggestions of what needs to be done to deal with this scourge. Buy
