Hi! I must say that I was surprised to find a site like yours and that someone actually cares about the crime in SA. Most people that are still in SA can not find a way of leaving or are living in SA with blinkers not seeing or admitting that there is a crime problem while praying that violent crime will not visit them. The reality is that it is not the amount of crime in SA but the manner in which the crimes are carried out. The lack of the respect of a life is abnormal. Killing a person for a cell phone or raping a child to prevent aids is beyond any logic. It is barbaric. Thank God my grandfather was born in Ireland and I could get away from the terminal sick society.

I agree with Sadile Ndlovu about the death penalty. Why should someone else take the life of another without having to pay the same penalty....death. Am I right in saying that the death penalty still exists in Zambia??

As I am a student, I don't have much time, apart from my holidays, to do research and write articles. I would appreciate if volunteers e.g. blog owners, freelance journalists or criminologists would allow me to place their articles (credit will be given to the author). Articles just need to be in line with the mission of the website (see About). Contact me

A country at war with itself: Antony Altbeker

Getting behind the statistics to offer a sober and sobering account of the scale of the crime problem and its evolution, the book describes how government has sometimes sought to deal with the crisis and sometimes sought to deny its existence. The book ends with some suggestions of what needs to be done to deal with this scourge. Buy
