I read with horror of horrors on the news24 website of the robbing of 47 tourists in Cape Town, of the robbing at a guesthouse in Bryanston of 2 U.K woman and a Spanish woman and some other stories. Please explain to me what I am to say to people who anticipate visiting South Africa without ending up with a bad conscience if they did visit. I like the positive nature of your sight but where do we find a balance between a pipe dream and reality ?? It appears that South Africa is not safe at all!!! I continue to hope for South Africa to reach its highest potential and joy for its beautiful people. Message 2: Yet another attack on a tourist - this time a gang rape on a French tourist in Durban. What a suprise !!! At least Cesa, even with its faults, warned us of the dangers of visiting. What a shame they were campaigned againt when they realistically warned of the truth of the situation. What a shame !!!!! |

Hi there! First of all, congratulations on your website ( I bet you get this a lot) and carry on with the good work. I'm a portuguese student in Paris, France and have always been interested in SA, like many other people all around the world. It's problably because I studied politics, I dont know. Anyway, after finding this fraudulent website about the crime in your country, I talked about it with a SA friend of mine ( via msn ) and he explained me about it. I would like to make a post about your website and about everything that happened regarding the other site situation. But I would also like to know if you agree with it. I will be in portuguese and it has no big importance as a blog in portugal nor france. I use it to develop my journalist skills. Wish you the very best of luck! Greetings from Paris Donkie! p.s.: As I still didnt get all the story, I'm now going to read you site to see if I can know it better. this is my blog: www.nohexagono.blogspot.com |

Dear Malan, Instead of using your website to slander Neil Watson, why not rather expose the TRUTH. Our PDI's posing as "politicians" are pocketing our money every day on personal attributes as is the Metro Police (taking bribes on a daily basis) and nothing gets done about it!! At least Neil had the CHUTZPAH to expose the TRUTH. What happened to freedom of speech... If you don't like it, then don't visit the site. No offense, but it sounds as if you've already been brainwashed by your fellow liberals. As far as I'm concerned this country was better off pre-1994!! I look forward to your response and to seeing some TRUTHFUL FACTS on your website. Kind regards & be well. |

Hi, I too was 'banned' from the crimeexposa website when I attempted to post comments that I didn't agree with them on some things they said!! Yes, I did leave SA in 1999 to attend college in the USA, and I have remained here with a good job, life etc, but I have been back home many, many times and I have had nothing but good experiences on my journeys back home. I have also brought friends to SA and now my partner (twice), we love the country and have nothing but good stories to tell of it when we are back here in the USA!! THANK YOU for doing all you've done! THANK YOU for creating this site, THANK YOU for giving me the option to truly voice my opinion!! |

I admire your enthusiasm and hope you portray in your website and I really hope that for the millions of South Africans that share your views sake that it does bring about some positive changes in SA. Yes there might some issues with the CESA website but at the end of the day the facts posted (articles from newspapers, with link to the articles) showed the naked truth about crime. As hard as it is to swallow.. crime in SA is a serious issue and needs to exposed and not hushed away as only an "isolated incident". Also the views posted by people are just as important as everyone is entitled to freedom of speech. It is a shame that others see this differently. However I feel that in the immediate future SA will face even more hardship. I moved to Austria 5 years ago leaving behind everything in order to secure a better future for my family... with no regards I must add. I too lived the "I am aware of the crime, but it will never happen to me" ignorant lifestyle until it did happen to me. And until you have lived in (first world) country you only then realise that the conditions you lived in are not normal. All the beauty of SA means nothing if you live in fear. Your view on "The Solution" is unfortunately a shot in the dark because as long as the ANC are in Government there will be no solution to the problems in SA. We also cannot rely on everyone to do their part to resolve the crime situation as the current police force has its hands tied and kangaroo courts or "private" police only add to the problem. My sympathy goes out to all those that say "there's nothing wrong with SA" and those want to live a better life abroad but do not have the means to realise that dream. |
