Hi! I must say that I was surprised to find a site like yours and that someone actually cares about the crime in SA. Most people that are still in SA can not find a way of leaving or are living in SA with blinkers not seeing or admitting that there is a crime problem while praying that violent crime will not visit them. The reality is that it is not the amount of crime in SA but the manner in which the crimes are carried out. The lack of the respect of a life is abnormal. Killing a person for a cell phone or raping a child to prevent aids is beyond any logic. It is barbaric. Thank God my grandfather was born in Ireland and I could get away from the terminal sick society. |

It is obvious you're picking out the only few positive things left in SA for your site. You're accusing other sites to be misleading but what are you doing. You deliberately leave out all the bad things. Don't you think tourists has the right to know what's really going on. Their deaths will be on you. We left South Africa for Australia because of crime. That's not normal, is it? And if it was only a few people leaving SA then the problem would be them but we're talking about 1 million people in 10years. Where's the problem now? Wake up and tell the whole truth not just what you want. God bless SA. |

Having left South Africa 2 years ago because of crime and now live in Canada, the luxury of going to sleep at night with the house unlocked and not worrying about safety cannot have a price attached ti it.Your site is full the facts.Well done and keep it going. |

It is easy to say that crime is a perception (said by Mr Mbeki) if one enjoys 24/7 protection. If government is serious to combat crime, get rid of those special protection. If government regards crime as a perception, then maybe crime does not exist. (at least not for them). Convince us that it does not exist by getting rid of special protection - not even an alarm system, which is too expensive for most people in SA. And maybe solve the problem at it's source - M U G A B E. |

Mbeki says there is no crime. The same way he said HIV does not cause AIDS. It took months for the International Community to put pressure on the gov to demand ARV's be given - it could have been far longer - as a result, thousands of lives were bettered (for the individual, their families + the economic workforce). however, all the time-wasting cost hundreds of lives. Lets not let our government waste time. Crime IS a problem. If we all submit our stories and shocking headlines to FIFA, they will put pressure on the country to sort out crime. We have this opportunity, so lets use it! Go to www.FIFA.com, click 'contact FIFA' (bottom page) and submit an email. |
